Last week, Fox29 News reporter Karen Hepp interviewed a few members of the Robotics team and discussed their trip to the FIRST Robotics National Championship. Watch the video above that was featured on the 5pm, 6pm and 10pm news! http://www.myfoxphilly.com/clip/11415752/bishop-mcdevitt-
"FIRST Robotics is a national Robotics competition for students of all ages. Each year, teams are provided with the outline of a "game" and students (with guidance from engineering mentors) must construct a robot to compete. This year's robot, the "Tower of Terror" has the ability to lift totes and recycling containers to make stacks and score points. Based on performance in the District Championship, E=mCD, the McDevitt Robotics team, has qualified to attend the FIRST Championship in St. Louis, MO. Taking place from April 22-25th, the FIRST Championship pits the 600 best robots in the world against one another to crown a champion. At the same time, students are invited to interact with students from around the world, speak with college representatives about scholarships and admissions, and see amazing demonstrations of technology and engineering. For more information on the FIRST Championship, please click here. Thanks for your support of McDevitt Robotics!" - Mr. Jurkiewicz, Faculty Moderator
